A Survivors Judgement Day by Lory Klein
A woman stood in front of the pearly gates. These are heavens gates but there must be some mistake. I can't stay. this is not where I would end up. I should have gone the other way.
Just then the gates started to float open, a small cherub figure stepped forward, "Ah yes, you are here, today was your time, Welcome." The woman stuttered, "You must have me confused with someone else, this can't be for me, not after what I've done." "There is no mistake, you are right where you are supposed to be." "There is nothing you can do to not end up here, come you will see. . ."
She stared in disbelief. "Is God in there? He is not going to want to see me." The cherub looked confused, "Why would you say that?" The woman hung her head and said, "I lost a loved one to suicide, my relationship with God has never been the same. I cussed Him, screamed, even questioned if heaven was real. I stopped going to church. When I needed Him the most, He wasn't there. When I hurt the most I would yell at Him and get no answers. You see, He doesn't want me to stay. I understand and I will go the other way."
She turned to go and a voice behind the gates said, "That's not how it works here you know."
"I heard every desperate prayer and now you will get your answers to all of your questions and more. Drop your shame and guilt. There is no room for that herel Come be loved and get your peace, just come through the door."
"You see you BOTH are welcome here no matter what has been done."
The woman's heart raced with the question, "Both?" "Yes, your loved one is here and has been waiting for this day as well."
Oh to reunite, what stories you will tell, what peace you will find, what forgiveness you will know!!! Come in. Sit a spell, stay. You've already been through hell. . .
